GCC Common Market
Gulf Common Market
The Doha Declaration regarding the establishment of the Gulf Common Market was issued on Decem- ber 4, 2007 at the end of the twenty-eighth session of the Supreme Council, and the Gulf Common Market is based on the principles of the Basic Law of the Cooperation Council and the texts of the economic agreement between the GCC countries and the Supreme Council’s decisions regarding the Gulf Common Market.
The common Gulf market has many benefits, both politically and economically, and one of the most important gains expected from the establishment of the common Gulf market is ensuring the flow of goods between the countries of the Gulf Coopera- tion Council, leading to increased competition between Gulf institutions for the benefit of the consumer, as well as contributing to achieving politi- cal stability in the region and in Advancing military and political cooperation among the GCC states, similar to economic cooperation.
